What should I put as my professional headline and industry on LinkedIn?

A. Definitely put what you aspire to be. It's perfectly OK to market yourself for the industry you want to work in, which includes building an online persona that portrays you as a "member" of that industry. Of course you'll need to do other things to make that online persona credible, like an internship, work-study, or self-publishing activities.

Is this true?
Why are they doing this?
Why haven't I gotten anything official from the Facebook people saying this?

A. No that would NEVER happen.

They wouldn't make as much as they do now if they started to charge.
They have 300million active users right now, they have little advertising yet they make more a day then we could even dream of. If they started charging statistics show more then 80% of people would eventually become unactive. Facebook are smart people. THEY WOULD NEVER MAKE IT A PAYSITE. facebook is like the 3rd most popular website next to google and youtube. they want to keep it like that.
if it became a pay website facebook would be soon forgotten and people would wind back at myspace.

If she does it, will the police get involved and track the person's IP Address down?

A. Yes they will track them down. We had a lecture about this kind of stuff in school this year. All you have to do is report what happened, and the police will do their best to help you.
We have those kinds of incidents all over the country as well.

People do it either for "fun", or out of anger with the victim.
